Sea School Field Trip Adventures
Connecting students to the incredible marine life that depends on a healthy Salish Sea.

Sea School Field Trip Adventures are outdoor marine biology and conservation themed day trip programs that can be adapted for students in K-12th grade.
They are perfect for school, family, homeschool, or summer school groups.
There are four different field trips to choose from with experiential science learning, social and emotional learning, hikes, adventures games, team building activities, and/or art projects.
The date and time of each field trip may vary based on water taxi, tides, or participant needs and desires.

Watershed Superheroes
Description: Students learn about their local watershed through an interactive stormwater game, forging a personal connection to the Salish Sea. They then explore the beach, engage in community-building activities, and contribute to a beach clean-up.
Location: Washington Park, Anacortes
Maximum class size: 40
Pre- and Post- Trip class time: 30-45 minutes

Plankton Protectors
Description: Students discover the vital
role of plankton in the food chain, building their own plankton models and examining samples from the Salish Sea under microscopes. They also enjoy intertidal exploration and create unique plankton stamps.
Location: Washington Park, Anacortes

Island Pathfinders
Description: Students hop on a water taxi to a local island, where they explore the intertidal zone, learn about native flora and fauna, and embark on an exciting island hike.
Location: James, Cypress, Matia, or Sucia Island

Salish Sea Explorers
Description: Students delve into the world of marine science and field research from a
boat, observing seals, bull kelp, rhinoceros auklets, and more!
Location: Salish Sea, departing from Skyline Marina or Cap Sante Marina in Anacortes
