Service Description

The Salish Sea is home to a diverse array of marine life, including some of the most beloved and fascinating pinnipeds: harbor seals, Steller seal lions, and elephant seals! These playful and intelligent creatures are an important part of the Salish Sea ecosystem. We believe in nurturing a love and respect for these incredible animals through education and hands-on learning opportunities. Flipper Friends will be full of adventures as we explore and learn about the pinnipeds of the Salish Sea. Students will also explore the intertidal zone, play in a magical tree house, and play fun beach games! Each student will become a Flipper Friend as they have an opportunity to adopt a stuffy harbor seal on the first day of camp. Every program also includes a special boat ride to search for pinnipeds in the Salish Sea. One parent/guardian chaperone will be required to attend this trip. We will also explore and learn about the surrounding eco-system and become junior scientists who are empowered to protect and share the story of the pinnipeds of the Salish Sea!

Cancellation Policy

In the event of any cancellation, regardless of when the cancellation is initiated, the credit card processing fee will not be refunded (3%). Cancellation Refunds vary by course: Spring, Fall, and Winter Programs: if cancelled 5 days prior to the course, the class fee will be refunded to you, less the credit card processing fee (3%). If cancelled any time after that, there will not be a refund for this course. Summer Programs: Cancellations 91+ days prior to session start date = Refundable less CC processing fees & $150 deposit Cancellations between 61 and 90 days prior to session start date = Refundable less CC processing fees & 50% fee of full tuition Cancellations between 0 and 60 days prior to session start date = non-refundable Exceptions to this policy cannot be made for any reason, including weather or personal emergencies. All cancellations must be submitted in writing and must be received in the above time frames. ____ The Pulse: There are no refunds available for our virtual continuing education program.
