Service Description

Your child will experience a life-changing experience through Orca Superhero camp. They will “dive into” a week of adventure, island exploration, hands-on learning, and service as they become junior citizen scientists protecting the Southern Resident Killer Whale or Orca. The week is designed to cultivate wonder, curiosity, new friendships, self-confidence, and a lifelong relationship with the natural world. On the first day of camp, they will adopt a plushy representing an Orca who is living or has lived in the Salish Sea and officially become part of that Orca’s pod/family as an Orca Superhero! If you have already attended an Orca Superhero camp you will receive an additional PIN to put on your stuffy to symbolize being an EXTRA special Orca Superhero! Southern Resident Orca Superheroes includes: A private chartered Whale Watching trip* Whale Museum, Friday Harbor visit via Washington State Ferry Boat ride to explore a local Island with our partners, Island Express Orca plushy and graduation certificate Forest to shore hiking adventures Marine ecosystem connections Tidal pool exploration Nature & ecofriendly art projects Mindfulness in Nature Environmental service project 12:3 student-to-teacher ratio Camp t-shirt Note: Lunch is not included, students will need to pack their own lunch, water, and snacks each day.

Cancellation Policy

In the event of any cancellation, regardless of when the cancellation is initiated, the credit card processing fee will not be refunded (3%). Cancellation Refunds vary by course: Spring, Fall, and Winter Programs: if cancelled 5 days prior to the course, the class fee will be refunded to you, less the credit card processing fee (3%). If cancelled any time after that, there will not be a refund for this course. Summer Programs: Cancellations 91+ days prior to session start date = Refundable less CC processing fees & $150 deposit Cancellations between 61 and 90 days prior to session start date = Refundable less CC processing fees & 50% fee of full tuition Cancellations between 0 and 60 days prior to session start date = non-refundable Exceptions to this policy cannot be made for any reason, including weather or personal emergencies. All cancellations must be submitted in writing and must be received in the above time frames. ____ The Pulse: There are no refunds available for our virtual continuing education program.
