Adventure Camp Out for Parent/Child(SEA)

Service Description

We are offering our first overnight Parent/Child Adventure Camp out at the beautiful Quaker Cove Retreat Center on Similk Bay. This camp has been designed to offer unforgettable moments for the parent/caregiver and a child to experience one on one time in nature and learn practices to take home to apply in the busy lives that all families lead. We have planned this overnight camp so that you and your child will simply show up and experience adventures in nature, family games, and time to relax at the private beach. Our time together will include: Family Forest Scavenger Hunt Family Adventure Games Similk Bay wading and water play Beach Campfire and S'mores Nature Calm Take It Home Family Art Sunset on the Beach The Salish Sea School believes that families are an incredibly important link and forming center for children and that nature can be a place for parents and kids to relax, bond and unplug. We believe that one on one time with your children when they are young is "putting money in the bank" for when you and your child will face the normal individuation of the early teen years and beyond. Accommodations You can bring a tent and camp in a meadow among the beautiful Cedars and Douglas Firs, bring your RV (3 sites available with electric and water), or rent a Cabin on a first come-first served basis (4 rustic cabins available, bring your own linens and towels). $165 per parent/child, additional $50 per rustic cabin or $10 for RV site. Meals Saturday – Families will bring a packed lunch and snack Pizzas delivered for dinner (Roasted honey apples and S’mores for dessert) Breakfast – Fruit, Coffee, Juice, and Muffins Lunch – Peanut Butter Sandwiches, Clementines and Cookies The facilitators have 39 years of experience creating experiences and resources for families to bond and learn mindful practices to apply in daily living. They have created "Nature Calm" resources for families to underscore the connection between families and nature as a foundation for meaning and purpose.

Cancellation Policy

In the event of any cancellation, regardless of when the cancellation is initiated, the credit card processing fee will not be refunded (3%). Cancellation Refunds vary by course: Spring, Fall, and Winter Programs: if cancelled 5 days prior to the course, the class fee will be refunded to you, less the credit card processing fee (3%). If cancelled any time after that, there will not be a refund for this course. Summer Programs: Cancellations 91+ days prior to session start date = Refundable less CC processing fees & $150 deposit Cancellations between 61 and 90 days prior to session start date = Refundable less CC processing fees & 50% fee of full tuition Cancellations between 0 and 60 days prior to session start date = non-refundable Exceptions to this policy cannot be made for any reason, including weather or personal emergencies. All cancellations must be submitted in writing and must be received in the above time frames. ____ The Pulse: There are no refunds available for our virtual continuing education program.
