Meet Our Team
The Salish Sea School is committed to cultivating and preserving a culture of diversity, inclusion, and connectedness. We are able to grow and learn better together with a diverse team. We welcome the unique contributions that one can bring in terms of their education, opinions, culture, ethnicity, race, sex, gender identity and expression, nation of origin, age, languages spoken, veteran’s status, color, religion, disability, sexual orientation and beliefs.
We are stronger together with the collective sum of individual differences, life experiences, knowledge, innovation, self-expression, and talent which ultimately brings about a healthier planet.

Join us for a tufted puffin fundraiser that includes:
1) an educational zoom call (September 8 @4:30 PM) to learn all about the endangered tufted puffins of Washington
2) a 3-4 hour boat tour (September 12 @4:30 PM), with onboard educators Amanda Colbert and Amy Eberling, to journey to one of two remaining tufted puffin breeding islands in the Salish Sea! Here we will look for tufted puffins transitioning to their winter plumage, keep an eye out for possible new fledglings, and bid them a safe journey as they make their way to the Pacific for the winter.
We look forward to learning and observing with you!

My colonies in Washington are falling fast,
We need more research so we can last.
Adopting me helps our population out,
To discover what our decline is all about.
