Meet Our Team
The Salish Sea School is committed to cultivating and preserving a culture of diversity, inclusion, and connectedness. We are able to grow and learn better together with a diverse team. We welcome the unique contributions that one can bring in terms of their education, opinions, culture, ethnicity, race, sex, gender identity and expression, nation of origin, age, languages spoken, veteran’s status, color, religion, disability, sexual orientation and beliefs.

We are stronger together with the collective sum of individual differences, life experiences, knowledge, innovation, self-expression, and talent which ultimately brings about a healthier planet.

Play, wonder, and discover—together as small explorers of a big ocean world.

NEW Free family program | One parent or caregiver required per child

Ignite a love of nature and scientific discovery in preschoolers through joyful, play-based exploration of the Salish Sea and its surrounding ecosystems. Designed for young learners and their caregivers, this program invites families to investigate tide pools, forests, and shorelines together—turning curiosity into connection and early environmental stewardship.

Each month, children will meet a Creature of the Salish Sea. Through stories, hands-on activities, movement, and outdoor exploration, preschoolers will observe, ask questions, and discover how living things interact with their environment.

We are deeply passionate about introducing students to the incredible classroom right outside our doorstep. Our hope is that this curriculum sparks a lifelong love of the ocean and inspires future advocates for the marine environment.
