Step aboard for a fascinating journey through time as we explore what shaped the Salish Sea. On this special geology-focused boat trip, you’ll discover the incredible story written in our rocks, shorelines, and islands—from dramatic glacial-carved cliffs to the twisted, colorful layers of metamorphic stone that reveal millions of years of tectonic movement.

As we cruise among the islands, we’ll stop to observe unique formations up close, learn how ice, fire, and shifting plates sculpted this remarkable region, and understand why the San Juan Islands are one of the most geologically diverse places in North America. Whether you’re a rock enthusiast or simply curious about the landscape around you, this trip offers an unforgettable blend of science, scenery, and discovery.

Join us to uncover the hidden stories beneath the waves and gain a whole new appreciation for the Salish Sea’s dynamic past.
