What Students Will Experience
Each month, students dive into a new marine science theme centered around our big idea: Discover!
Through hands-on activities and guided outdoor exploration, students will:
-
Explore beaches and tidepools
-
Hike coastal trails
-
Search for local wildlife on land and in the water
-
Learn about the ecosystems of the Salish Sea
-
Build friendships and confidence through shared adventure

Our Focus: Discovery
Every session builds on the central theme of discovery, helping students become curious, capable young naturalists. Monthly themes (listed below) deepen their understanding of the local environment while keeping the experience fresh, engaging, and seasonally relevant.
Highlights from Last Year
Our inaugural year was full of unforgettable moments:
-
A tiny shrew wandered over to greet the group
-
We watched a river otter relocate its pup to a hidden den
-
Harbor seals played joyfully in the bay
-
Students uncovered endless tidepool treasures on wild shorelines
This club is all about exploration, wonder, and learning from whatever nature has in store each time we meet.
