As a nonprofit, every tour helps fund student exploration of the Salish Sea.
Private Charters
Create your perfect day on the Salish Sea with a private charter aboard one of our vessels, guided by our expert naturalists. Whether you're hoping to watch wildlife, photograph stunning landscapes, hike a private island, celebrate a special occasion, host a wedding, scatter ashes, go geocaching, or simply relax with family and friends on the water, we'll tailor the experience to your interests.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, every private charter directly supports The Salish Sea School's mission to connect people with the sea through adventure, research, and hands-on education. Your charter helps provide life-changing opportunities for students—many experiencing the Salish Sea for the very first time through boat trips, kayaking, tidepool exploration, and marine science programs.
All private charters depart from Skyline Marina in Anacortes, Washington. Pickup from other marinas may be arranged for an additional travel fee.

The Salish Sea School Research Vessel
22-Foot | $300 per hour
Our smaller vessel accommodates up to 6 passengers, offering a more intimate experience that's perfect for wildlife watching, photography, and personalized adventures.
To ensure safety and comfort on board, each trip is limited to a maximum of 6 participants, with an individual weight limit of 250 lbs.
Koinonia
48-Foot Vessel | $750 per hour
Our spacious 48-foot vessel features comfortable seating for up to 32 guests (maximum capacity 40 passengers) with both indoor and outdoor viewing areas.
Perfect for larger groups, celebrations, corporate outings, weddings, and educational experiences.
