Service Description

KEEP UP WITH THE PULSE of the Salish Sea in this virtual continuing education program for environmental educators, marine naturalists, or nature enthusiast from across the world. Designed for professionals and amateurs alike, this program goes beyond the basics and takes deeper dives on ecosystem-wide topics and the latest research. By registering you will have opportunities to connect and network with other naturalists, regional scientists, and support four local non-profits. Please note, this is not an introductory program, basic knowledge is expected. The Pulse 2024 Spring Quarter includes five virtual talks with regional scientists on the second Wednesday of the month, January - May. These topics include: Humpback Whales, Octocpuses, Alaskan Trawling Bycatch of Killer Whales, Sea Star Wasting Disease, and Rockfish in the Salish Sea


Cancellation Policy

In the event of any cancellation, regardless of when the cancellation is initiated, the credit card processing fee will not be refunded (3%). Cancellation Refunds vary by course: Spring, Fall, and Winter Programs: if cancelled 5 days prior to the course, the class fee will be refunded to you, less the credit card processing fee (3%). If cancelled any time after that, there will not be a refund for this course. Summer Programs: Cancellations 91+ days prior to session start date = Refundable less CC processing fees & $150 deposit Cancellations between 61 and 90 days prior to session start date = Refundable less CC processing fees & 50% fee of full tuition Cancellations between 0 and 60 days prior to session start date = non-refundable Exceptions to this policy cannot be made for any reason, including weather or personal emergencies. All cancellations must be submitted in writing and must be received in the above time frames. ____ The Pulse: There are no refunds available for our virtual continuing education program.
