The Salish Sea School is committed to cultivating and preserving a culture of diversity, inclusion, and connectedness. We are able to grow and learn better together with a diverse team. At the most beautiful time of the year on the Salish Sea, we invite the entire community to join us for a month-long celebration to formally recognize our Discovery Center at Skyline Marina. Eleven special events, many FREE, are planned to join our community in celebrating curiosity, conservation and our interconnection with the sea!

Free Willy Community Movie Night

Description: Grab your lawn chairs, blankets, and friends for a community showing of Free WIlly outside the Salish Sea Discovery Center! The Movie starts at 8pm, but we encourage you to show up early to grab some popcorn and the best spots!​

Puffin Talk with Dr. Peter Hodum

Description: Calling all puffin people! We are excited to welcome Dr. Peter Hodum to Anacortes for an evening presentation on all things puffins. Dr. Hodum is professor of biology and environmental sciences at University of Puget Sound, where his research focuses on conservation efforts of seabirds, including the Tufted Puffins of the Salish Sea. ​

Puffins and Sunset Cruise
