Description:
This five-day camp is designed to cultivate curiosity, connection, and playfulness while celebrating Pacific salmon and the orcas that depend on them. All activities take place in the waterways, forests, and shorelines surrounding the magnificent Salish Sea basin. Parents (or adult guardians) are invited to join us for the wildlife boat adventure during the week, as well!

We begin by diving into the life cycle of Pacific salmon through hands-on games, movement, and exploration. Each camper receives their own salmon stuffed animal to “care for and protect” as we learn and discover together throughout the week.

During camp, students will embark on two special boat-based adventures. One trip will focus on exploring the marine ecosystem shared by salmon and orcas, and on another day we will travel by boat to visit a nearby island to explore its forests and intertidal zones.

During the week your child will also enjoy:
-
Forest to shore hiking adventures
-
Tidal pool exploration
-
Eco Friendly art projects
-
Mindfulness in nature
-
Service learning with beach cleanup
-
Each camp is led by 4 teachers and capped at 14 students, ensuring small-group attention and a fun, personalized experience for every camper.

Note: Lunch is not included, students will need to pack their own lunch, water, and snacks each day.

This camp is held on beautiful Fidalgo Island in Anacortes, WA, with daily locations varying based on the week’s activities and learning goals. They’ll also enjoy two special off-island adventures: one via Island Express Charters to a nearby state park island, and another onboard the Koinonia, where we’ll head out from Skyline Marina to search for marine wildlife.
