Welcome to our Stormwater Action Packs! These Action Packs are designed to provide you with fast, fun, and flexible activities that turn understanding into actions that make a difference for the Salish Sea and all of the local watersheds.
Throughout these action packs, students will learn ​there are many ways to be a part of the pollution solution that creates a cleaner Salish Sea!

1. MEET YOUR WATERSHED

PROJECT OVERVIEW
In this Action Pack, students will:

be introduced to the concept of watersheds by taking a video field trip from the top to the bottom of a local watershed
​
-
play the Watershed Heroes Action Game (WHAG) to learn about the relationship between stormwater and water quality in their own watershed.
Grade Levels: 6 to 9

Class time: 45-80 minutes

1. Students will understand the concept of a watershed
2. Students will understand how stormwater affects watersheds
3. Students will be able to identify sources of contamination in a watershed
4. Students will be able to describe actions that can be taken to remove pollution from a watershed
