Join Salish Sea School Staff and Dr. Cindy Elliser (Salish Sea Institute and Pacific Mammal Research) for an evening of conversation around hope in the time of climate crisis and then create a handmade luminary to symbolize your commitment to holding hope for the Salish Sea and all of our world's ecosystems.


The evening will include:


  • Hope for the Salish Sea Presentation: Negative environmental news abounds, but there are good things happening in the Salish Sea too! Stories of Olympia oysters, humpback whales, salmon habitat restoration, harbor porpoises and more show that hard work pays off, and conservation actions are making strides towards recovery. Learn about what is going well, and why evidence-based hope is essential to our continued successes and protection of the Salish Sea.
