About the event
Celebrate Orca Recovery Day with The Salish Sea School while helping clean up a remote beach on Cypress Island! We'll spend the morning removing debris from South Beach and then enjoy a short hike along the beautiful trails of Cypress Island.
RSVPS Required
Ages: All ages welcome!
Please Bring: Weather appropriate layers, sturdy shoes (rubber boots recommended), lunch, snacks, water, backpack, garden gloves (we will also have some for you to borrow)
Special Accessibility Note: The slope of the shore at South Beach means that the water taxi cannot fully dock onto the beach and participants may be asked to disembark via a small plank ramp and/or walk through shallow water for a few steps to get ashore. There is also no bathroom available on the island. Contact Kyra at community@thesalishseaschool.org if you have any questions about the accessibility of this event.
