EndedThe Salish Sea School Discovery Center

Service Description

Join us for a special showing of Fish War, an impactful documentary about the fight for tribal fishing rights in Washington State. About the Film: When Washington State made it illegal for tribes to fish for salmon in their usual and accustomed places, it sparked a battle for justice. Fish War chronicles the tribes’ fight to uphold their treaty-reserved fishing rights, leading to the landmark 1974 court case that affirmed these rights and established the tribes as co-managers of the resource. Despite this victory, the fate of salmon in the Pacific Northwest remains uncertain. 🎥 Duration: 1 hour and 19 minutes 🔗 Learn more about the film at fishwarmovie.com Seats are limited, so please only RSVP if you’re certain you can attend. Don’t miss this powerful story of resilience and justice! Free event!
