Service Description

This five day camp for students ages 6-8 is designed to cultivate curiosity, connection and playfulness while celebrating Salmon and the Orcas that depend on them in the Pacific Northwest. All activities will take place in the waterways, forests, or shores surrounding the magnificent Salish Sea Basin. Parents (or adult guardians) are invited to join us on our wildlife boat adventures. This camp begins with learning about the life-cycle of Pacific Salmon through games and a migration. On Day 1, students will receive their very own Salmon plushy. This Salmon will be theirs to “care for and protect” as we continue to learn, play, and explore together through the rest of the week. We will have two boat days! One day we will be traveling to explore the forest and intertidal areas on James Island. On another day we will be taking a boat-based wildlife trip to explore the marine ecosystem of salmon and orcas with one parent or adult companion invited to join us! During the week your child will also enjoy: * Forest to shore hiking adventures * Tidal pool exploration * Eco Friendly art projects * Mindfulness in nature * Service learning with beach cleanup * Each camp is led by 4 teachers and capped at 14 students, ensuring small-group attention and a fun, personalized experience for every camper. Note: Lunch is not included. Students will need to pack their own lunch, water, and snacks each day. "
