This camp is designed for students age 14-18, and is a great way for students to explore and connect with each other as curious marine explorers. Campers will practice field research techniques, utilize the scientific method, review relevant scientific literature, perform data collection and analysis, and hone their observation skills. This is a perfect program for students interested in marine science careers! Each day students will explore different organisms and practice field skills to conduct research and surveys. Topics will include Tufted Puffin breeding biology, whale populations dynamics, forest species interactions, intertidal organism communities, and more! Camp will meet from 10:00AM-3:00PM Monday - Friday in the Skyline Marina in Anacortes. Note: Lunch is not included. Students will need to pack their own lunch, water, and snacks each day.
