Service Description

Immerse yourself in the serene beauty of Cypress Island and rejuvenate your mind, body, and spirit with our Cypress Island Day Retreat. Experience the transformative power of mindfulness as you connect with the ancient forests, pristine shorelines, and abundant wildlife that inhabit this undisturbed sanctuary. As the largest undeveloped island in the San Juan archipelago, Cypress Island offers a unique opportunity to escape the bustle of modern life and reconnect with the natural world. With over 5,200 acres of protected forests, wetlands, grasslands, and tidelands, this idyllic landscape invites deep introspection and personal growth. Our journey begins with Island Express water taxi as we make our way to Pelican Beach.  As we disconnect from the demands of everyday life, we will savor a nourishing snack and sip on a cup of locally sourced Douglas Fir conifer tea. This mindful consumption will help us slow down our body, mind, and soul, setting the stage for deeper contemplation and self-reflection. Next, we will embark on a hike to Eagle Cliff, a breathtaking vantage point that offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. As we traverse the verdant forest trails, we will practice mindful walking and forest soaking techniques to deepen our appreciation for the natural world and its rejuvenating power. Upon reaching Eagle Cliff (medium-difficult 1.3 mile each way, steep hike up), we will enjoy a peaceful lunch while soaking in the awe-inspiring beauty of our surroundings. This serene location provides the perfect backdrop for cultivating gratitude and fostering a profound sense of interconnectedness with the earth. We will then descend back to Pelican Beach for a gentle stretching session to re-energize our bodies and clear our minds. With our bodies limber and our minds at ease, we will string up hammocks (bring your own or a towel to lay on the ground!) to contemplate the majesty of the forest canopy and immerse ourselves in the healing energy of the island. Finally, we will conclude our time on Cypress Island by finding a private sit spot to embrace stillness and cultivate sensate wonder. As you bask in the solitude and tranquility of this pristine environment, you'll carry the wisdom and healing renewal of the island back into your daily life. Join us on this unforgettable journey to reconnect with your inner wisdom and find balance amidst the beauty of the Salish Sea.
